Deleting multiple images

Deleting multiple images
I did a search before posting, so now I'm asking for help 
We now have the power to delete, but is there a way to delete many pictures at once?
I have to do it one by one, edit photo, click delete, submit, get kicked out, start over............
All these unnecessary pictures are just taking up spaces.

Nothing yet; still have to do it the one-at-a-time method.
IB has talked about changing the gallery software but no timetable and it would not be an easy undertaking to make sure all the old picture links stay intact.
