Unhappy Do we have to log on every time now?

Hey everyone,

Is it just me (perhaps I need to adjust my settings on this site) or every time we log onto CL from now on, we have to type our user name with password? It never use to be like that Please let me know. Thanks!

Some people have tried deleting their cookies (in order to get rid of the cookies from the old version of the vbulletin discussion forum), and then after they login with this new version, they are ok.

Some are still having issues despite that.

I have personally not tried it yet as I don't want to delete my cookies. There are a whole bunch of sites that I go to and deleting my cookies would also force me to relogin to the other sites. I don't remember all the passwords to the other sites, so would rather deal with having to relogin into CL every time. Unless of course I can find the specific CL cookie from the old version of the vbulletin software on my pc, then I could just delete that.

I didn't delete these "cookies" (I like Chocolate Chip the most btw) and the site works fine. It remembers me each time I return.

Cool

Nope, it's still not working properly for me. I have made sure the "remember me" box in my profile is checked so it automatically knows who I am. This bites lol.

I had that problem for the first week CL was upgraded, but for the last four days it's been fine. I thought the techs on CL fixed it because I didn't do a thing.

Log out of CL and go to google.
Go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies
Come back to CL and login.

See if that works, hopefully its just one of the old cookies causing the problem - it's been fixed for most other folks I've checked with.

Edit - Hameed, sorry I don't know how to tell you which one is the CL login cookie. You're a tech guy I'm sure you'll figure it out

On FireFox it's trivial to delete just the CL ones because it shows you which site each cookie came from so you can just highlight those and delete them. With Internet Exploder you could go into your temporary internet files folder using Explorer and delete the ones associated with www.clublexus.com and clublexus.com.

Yes, I already did that and found three cookies. Deleted them but still having this problem of re-logging on.

Ives did you whack your old CL cookies?

Log out of CL (all windows) and go to Google.
In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies
Come back to CL and login. Click the 'remember me' box

You have to make sure you're really logged out of CL. Then quit ALL browsers. Then delete the CL cookies. Then come back into CL (you shouldn't be logged in of course). Then you might try replying to a thread and it will prompt you to login, at which point go ahead.

I seem to be fine now on two computers after having had the problem before.

I'm about to try it on another 2 computers to make sure it's fixed on them too. (Yes, I have lots, haha )
