Forum selective view new posts
Hi Dave,
I like to use the view new posts function every day to keep up with what's going on. However, I'm finding that the majority of the post are coming from forums in which I have no interest. If I subscribe to particular forums, will I only see posts from them? If not, what's the purpose of forum subscriptions and can can a forum selective view new posts function be added?
Thanks,
George

George,
I think if you subscribe to the forum (I've never tried this so I'm not speaking from experience) I think that gets you an email every time there is a new post.... so unless you want a boat load of emails I don't know how to make that work
.
There *might* be some way to do this by using search and look for new posts after 'x' days ago. The problem I suspect is that you'll have to enter something to 'search' on. A wildcard might work, but not sure.
What forums do you want to do this search for?

Testing...
If this doesn't work, perhaps someone who understands php better can give me an idea of a syntax that might work
.
Should do view new posts just for the GS forum.

Didn't work like I'd hoped, but it seems to bring back a search on just the Lexus model forums for some reason
. That at least gets part of your answer, lol. You can bookmark it in your IE favorites.
