Anyone else having an issue with the “View First Unread” link not appearing in threads?

I use it a lot, but it’s been largely absent today on Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

 

It will not appear if the thread has no read content because it was previously opened and no new content posted since. I'm seeing it in Firefox normally.

Does the envelope status icon match? Meaning, does it show no new content when the View First Unread link isn't appearing?

The thread links turn bold blue, showing there are new posts. When I open it, the "View First Unread" isn't there, and the new posts have a light blue envelope, rather than orange to indicate it's unread.

For example, your response in this thread. On the thread page, it showed up bold, indicating a new response. I open it up to read your response, and there's no link to view the first unread, and the envelope on your response is light blue.

Perplexing...

 

When I opened this thread up it went to the last entry, and I selected “View First Unread” and it stayed there — 1st pic below

When I selected “View First Unread” again it highlighted in blue and went to the OP’s first post as I had not read it yet — 2nd pic

I have NEVER used the “View First Unread” before in this forum, so not sure if this helps or not.
