Default How to reply?

I am I am new to this site and have problems replying to people. Half the time I get the sentence that goes something like this- your messages too short it must be longer than two characters. Well it asked for a title so I put a couple words in the title and then below that person's posting I will put my question or response. And that's when I get that sorry your message is too short it must be longer than two characters. Also what is the proper way of responding are you supposed to have that person's whole message copied into your reply? It seems like a waste of space

Linked is a generic primer on forum usage you might find helpful https://www.clublexus.com/forums/faq...b3_board_usage

You don't need to include a title in a reply, it's optional in replies (you need one if you are creating a brand new thread). The title isn't included in the character count.

The minimum character count is usually 10 characters so we don't get folks spamming posts to increase their post count with simple yes no answers. A quoted posted in your reply is not included in the character count.

Quoting when you reply is optional However the quoted post IS important when there is a active thread with lots of people responding to it. It's the only way other members will know if you are addressing your reply to another person specifically (or replying specifically to their post). Otherwise it gets very confusing. Etiquette if you are replying to another member's post that includes a bunch of images is to remove the images because that truly takes up a lot of space.

Thanks for your reply. I will have to click on that link cuz I am still a little confused. There doesn't seem to be a way to just respond in other words p.m. or private message of particular person that responded to your ad. And I still don't understand about the quote part the only way I can respond it seems It's just tap on quote and then that whole message gets included in my message unless I backtrack and erase that whole person's response and then fill in my own response such as what I did here at the moment. Hopefully that link will clarify this because it is kind of confusing

You seem to keep editing whatever text you quote and removing part of it and the end tag which looks like “/ QUOTE ]” without the spaces

don’t do that, it screws up the formatting. Just type your message below the quote

it seems like whenever I trust typed my message below where it said quote I kept getting that error message saying I only had two characters. So that's when I started erasing most of the other person's message in there that I was replying to and then it seemed to go through

DO NOT delete anything highlighted in RED above ⬆️

I did put a space in between the bracket “ ] it…” and also “…through [ “ so you can see more clearly.

Type your text outside of those brackets.

If you want to delete any text or photos within brackets, then click inside brackets and delete text / pictures — but again,

DO NOT delete those [ QUOTEs] or Brackets [ ]
