i have zero interest in badges and don't appreciate them being turned on without my consent. would be good if there's an option to simply disable them.

 

You can by going to the Badge manager, in User CP, and removing the badges your account earned:

But, these badges are easy to obtain by contributing to the communuty, anyone can earn them.

And you are also liked, loved, and a community favorite, and you've been contributing for 20 years, you earned your badges many times over. 🫸🫷 😃

 

Now if we could only get them as nice Cloisonne metal badges to attach to my deck lid... "Loved" would be great in these turbulent times!

Disagree, it's an interesting option for recognition that most members have 'liked' (pun intended) but also would not know to look for them to enable.

You can continue to complain about it by bumping this thread every few months if it makes you feel better, but it won't change anything since the badge feature has already been enabled for everyone.

It's an easy, user controllable click to turn the feature off if you don't like them, which you clearly have already done.
