Remote Connect and Multiple Users
We just picked up our NX450h+ yesterday and I got a bit confused by the multiple user support in the vehicle and in the app. I've figured it out now but wanted to post something to help other users with the latest software.
We configured the car and app correctly for my wife at the dealership (its her car). But once we got home I set up the app on my phone. I assumed I needed to create a new account with my email in the app, and then paired the car to the phone, it detected my account, added it as a secondary driver, and everything worked fine EXCEPT the remote control feature didn't work. It wanted me to scan a QR code to connect my account, but when I went to Settings/Apps/Remote Connect in the car it says Remote Authorization Pending and won't show the QR code needed to connect. According to the dealership and the folks at the end of the connected services button in the car this is by design. There can only be one email address associated with the car. So multiple people basically log into the same account on each phone.
Its confusing since the secondary driver account can be associated with a different email address but that email address cannot remote connect and control the car. The way they have designed the system doesn't seem to gel with multiple people being the "owner" of the car. We have 2 cars and use them for different purposes. Sure this one is my wife's but since I drive the kids in it all the time I want to be able to remote control the climate whenever I'm driving.
Hope this post makes sense and maybe helps others setting up their cars. Also its possible this is all wrong and I was misinformed but I suspect this is by design to keep things simpler, and also for security purposes.

Once you have setup both accounts, it seems the primary driver can delegate remote access to another account, and then take it back again. So in theory, you could switch remote to your other driver back and forth depending on who is driving the vehicle. Not ideal, but maybe a solution for now. I have not tried this myself, but there is a decent guide on the tech support site:
Primary driver wishing to delegate remote access: https://lexusconnectedtechnologysupp...4-a3dc25785261
Secondary driver wishing to accept remote access: https://lexusconnectedtechnologysupp...4-a3dc25785261
To add to the confusion if I set up my digital key should I be logged in with my account on my phone or with my wife’s which is the one I stay logged into that lets me remote connect?
also if I want to send destinations to the onboard maps to my profile I have to be logged into my account not my wife’s.
This doesn’t seem completely thought through.

My husband and I are experiencing the same issue. The car is mine, but my husband had the old app for our other car. Therefore, he is the primary driver and the only driver with a profile. This setup for the Lexus Enform App is extremely frustrating.
I was told the same for my 350H, and I agree, this does not make sense to me either from the perspective of having multiple owners - my wife and I also share the car.

I guess the only workaround is to log in to the Lexus app on my phone with my wife's account.

This makes perfect sense in regard to ensuring you both get remote key access through the app. My question would be, what to you do when you enter to get your seat settings, mirror, steering wheel, etc? It would load to your wife’s profile. How do you then get your settings to take over?

- Use the same Lexus app credentials on both phones but have different profiles in the car
- Set up the car with a different profile, have the person who drives most of the time (if applicable) be primary and tie each profile to a key-fob (you can also use your phone as an identifier, but I've kept it to just the key-fobs for us as it seems to work well)
- Once the car is setup properly, then have both people sign into the app with the primary driver's credentials
- Pros - You both have different car settings (lights, 360 degree camera trigger, last used seat position, radio stations, etc) and can both use most of the app functions (remote start, locate, etc)
- Cons - The secondary driver cannot use the native NAVI favorite locations, home or work locations, or 'send to car' locations as those get sent to the primary drivers profile in the car.
- Sign in with a single profile on the car (only set up the primary driver) and both use the app signed into this account, set up memory seat positions for each of you
- Pros - You can use the location functionality and all other remote app functions
- Cons - Not entirely sure the car will allow this as it will only tie one key-fob to a profile, so I think you need 1 profile with a key-fob identifier and the other with their phone as an identifier - You also may get crushed when getting in the car as there's a memory setting for 'last position for the current driver' that isn't tied to the buttons and is invoked when getting into the car

You have 2 choices, we use the 1st which IMHO is less prone to issue and works for almost everything:
