Remote Connect and Multiple Users
Yes I bought the car, I was the one at the dealer, app was set-up under my name, phone and email, fob but he will be driving the car somewhat more than me for now so can I change the profile name in the app to his name and then will it say his name?
Also any idea why when he is driving it keeps asking for the pin # I used to set-up?
He can put it in but it pops up when he is driving. He has android using bluetooth.
Thanks again.
With that being said, my hubby and I decided that he will not have digital key access and just use the actual fob when he drives since I'm the primary driver anyhoo. This will keep a lot of issues (headaches) at bay. I removed him under my shared keys access on my app. We will wait for the 2nd key fob to link to his Enform account.
As for the pin# requests that keeps popping up. You will have to manually connect whatever Bluetooth device (on phone and car Bluetooth Settings) when u get in your vehicle. Also when it prompts you for the pin tap the X to close it and not the ✓ mark. This worked for us so hopefully this will work for you as well.
If this user facing software is so messed up, I have no confidence that the software engineers at Lexus are doing a good job with the other software that manages the engine etc. Really scared of downloading software updates (had none so far in the 4 months I owned the NX 450).
Hope Lexus is listening. It isn't that hard to get the software right if you pay enough and hire the right talent.
I'll be sure to tell others who ask me about my NX experience that the software is piece of crap.
everyone wants remote access to their car for remote start. We have 2 drivers. only way to do is to use the same login on the lexus app.
but, how can I get multiple profiles on the same login?
Android Auto is connected through Bluetooth so make sure he is connected and the he will be able to use his Google Maps, Spotify, Waze etc
Sharing digital keys. If u are the primary driver and your husband is secondary then all of the authorize access will come from your Lexus Enform App via text or email. So it's important that you and your phone are there when u do this process. Email and text authorization codes takes a bit to go through so be patient and keep refreshing email.
**Digital Key SUCCESS**
After hours of trying to troubleshoot this ourselves (Lexus does not know any techy stuff), we finally figured it out. Your secondary driver will need to log into his/her Enform App acct and go to personal info and make sure to add the cell phone to where the share invite is being sent to. My husband didn't have any cell number in his personal info so when he clicked on my text invite, the car system did not recognize the cell number because it wasn't linked to any Lexus Enform account so therefore no QR code to scan. With cell number in place on his account the QR code popped up on the Lexus car system pretty quick and he was able to choose scan QR Code to finish setting up. During this process it will ask for temporary access codes, this is where access to email and text is crucial.
I hope this helps everyone experiencing this issue 🤗
Does the solution you describe still work for allowing two users (separate emails/accounts)? I know you elected to have one user not use the digital key. Before you made that decision, were you able to get the digital key to work for both users without having to transfer access each time?
My wife and I both have been able to log into the app using a single profile. Oddly, my digital key works and hers doesn’t!
