Default fuel pump ecu fix

I own a 93 Ls400 AUSDM and ive removed the fuel pump ecu and removed soldered screws on all 4 corners but it seems like i wont be able to remove the pcb without de-soldering pins, like a built in heatsink there are pins running from the board to items attached to oneside of the ecu housing.
I have no idea how to get around this any help will be appreciated thanks.

if i cut and glue it to the housing it'll be fine to solder it from the opposing side?
would anyone be able to give me the uF value?

Some more words, especially explaining what "it" means, might help. A bigger picture on your overall project here might help.

My '91 does not have a fuel pump ECU, and I had never even heard of such a thing before reading this, so thanks for that. Googling on that shows a few applications with Toyota and Lexus, but nothing else I saw. Interesting.

So I don't know about your ECU, but based on fixing other electronics, I will guess that when the thing is first built, the PCB is fully assembled, and then some thick glue is placed on some of the bigger components to bond it to the aluminum housing. This would be to reduce vibration and increase thermal conductivity to the heat sink in the housing. Then the PCB is screwed in, as you have removed.

If that's right, then there's no easy solution for you. You might try to see where the glue is applied and pry it off without breaking anything, but that would be tough. Some things are just not meant to be taken apart easily. Good luck.

thanks for your response oldskewel.
its just the capacitor im trying to replace, if i cut the 2 pins i still wont be a able to remove it. i should be able to read the farad value but then ill have to glue it to the house so it doesnt move around and then solder the new capacitor from the opposing side assuming ive got enough room to place it there

thanks for the reply Yamae i always appreciate experienced guidance but unfortunately i have already cut the capacitor, maybe you can add to the original post about ecu caps the value that ive gotten. its an 820uf 50v and it causes a wide range of fuel issues with no codes to be read. thanks again for your hard work, without it my car wouldnt be an extremely reliable daily driver it is today without your help
