Starting/Stalling problem
I just recently replaced my fuel pump ecu as I had concluded it was the cause of my car being unable to start. After having the new ecu in for about a week, my car (92 sc300 auto) stalled then would not start again. When the ignition is in the "on" position I can no longer hear the fuel pump or the sound of fueling being fed to the rail. Could this simply be a matter of getting a faulty fuel pump ECU? or could there be something blowing out the fuel pump ecu? This is very frustrating and I would as much as possible like to avoid a trip to the dealer or the purchase of another fuel pump ECU. BTW at this point the only way to drive the car is to place the jumper in the diagnostic port.

um..yea it does...it tells me my fuel pump ecu would be no good AGAIN. So I'd like to know if others have had similar problems. Seeing as it was a brand new part and having it go out in less than 3 days leaves the problem to be elsewhere, where i haven't the faintest idea.

Hey 808SC300, did you ever solve your fuel pump ECU problem? My car died this week and I read a number of posts on the subject that lead me to the fuel pump ECU. Sure enough, when I jumpered the B+ terminal to the FP terminal in the diagnostic connector, the car ran perfectly. But a replacement fuel pump ECU today did not solve my problem. I'm back to using the jumper again temporarily. Just wondering what you found out on your car ...
Thanks,
