Tail light issue
Picture of lights
2006 es330. I had some body work done which included cleaning up and painting the rear bumper/trunk. Of course they had to remove the tail lights to do this. A few days after I got the car back, the passenger tail light left bulb in the red area stopped coming on (dash light). I peeled the trunk liner back and played around with the wires and made sure everything was secure. The bulb started working after this. The next day, the right bulb in the red area on the passenger side stopped coming on (dash light). Any ideas what it can be? Replaced all rear bulbs last year.

I’ve been out of town but my girlfriend said the light comes on every time after about a minute of driving with the headlights on. Weird!

The gremlin is back. The bulb for the tail light works fine when the lights are on but isn’t coming on when I press the brakes. I’m thinking it’s a bad fuse. I checked the manual and I’m guessing it will be number...
56 - STOP - Stop lights, high mounted stoplight
I’ll go ahead and replace this one also just in case...
49 - TAIL - Tail lights, parking lights, license plate lights

I had somewhat similar issue on my es300 and it turned out to be the wire harness in the trunk that got cut. It was making contact sometimes and hence was working sometimes. So check your harness too.
