Default Faulty Tail Light

On my dashboard, the tail light error pops up and every time I put in a new bulb, it works for a minute or 2 and again it messes up. Any ideas why? I took it to a regular mechanic who's no expert in electrical stuff and said its the sockets where the bulb actually connects to and would have to order straight from lexus. What do you guys think?

What do u mean by it messes up? The light stops working or the 'light out' in the dash comes back on?

what I mean by "messes up" is that the light bulb stops working. The light bulb out indicator comes on but the light is NOT fine. so when i replace the bulb, it'll work for a few minutes and burns out again.
