Front Bumper again
Hi All,
Haven't posted in a long time and I normally used to hang in the 2nd Gen section. Anyway I am selling my 2nd gen to get a late (2012) 3rd gen. However I have noticed that all trims except for the "X" special edition or "F Sport" have the more aggressive bumper, whereas the other variants aren't so. I have seen a number of threads of updating the 2010-2011 RX's but nothing of these ones that basically share everything but the fog lights and the lower part of the grill. Is the cost as prohibitive as suggested? I would expect that all trimming, wheel liners etc. would be exactly the same meaning that it just the front bumper I need.
Can anyone confirm / deny this?
So wanting to go from this

2013 - 2015 bumper mod is straightforward compared to a 2010-2012, - no need to modify headlights or bumper for these.
Two bumper covers are available, aftermarket and oem and not expensive. The fsport grille (grille and chrome border comes as one piece) is very pricey though - in Canada it's $650 from the dealer. The "sport design" grille from 2015 (the same as fsport except not-honeycomb but slats) is only $420 cdn. Also the bottom grille is $200 cdn.
Otherwise fog lights trim & housing (pricey), tow covers, bottom bumper lip, bottom chrome border pieces, and front bottom engine cover needs to be replaced (don't forget that one otherwise will be noisey).
Sounds like a lot on paper but not that bad.
*when ordering bumper cover make sure you get the one with parking sensors and headlight washers if you have either or both.

I just added on to the hose that drains to the little pocket. Re-routed the hose through a rubber gromet under the driver's side carpet. Problem solved.
I have suspicion that using my jack caused the drain space where the welds are to bed and cause a blockage.
