Slow Track/1/4 Mile Time
Hello Everybody,
I just purchased a 2008 Lexus ISF with 95k miles. Bought it off the original owner. He was an older gentleman/doctor who seemed to take excellent care of. He only had it serviced at Lexus. That said, it is bone stock and to my knowledge it was pampered all it's life. I took it to the track last night and my best time was 14.321 @103MPH. My shift points were right at 6,900RPM. I did try it in auto mode and I ran a 14.561 @98MPH. It was always in Sport mode. From what I am reading this car should be pushing out much more. Any ideas? Age of car? Driver? I am a bit disappointed in the car so I am hooding either I am doing something wrong or something is going wrong with the car.

Yea...... those numbers are IS350 #'s...........Even with the car pulling timing it shouldn't be that damn slow! Something must be wrong with it if it's truly a ISF

It's is a true 5.0L 8 speed automatic. Temp outside was about 103. I went up against a 2015 mustang 5.0. He had intake header exhaust and programmer and he got a 13.167. I also went up against a 2009ish challenger r/t and beat him. I ran my best time against him which was 14.371. He ran a 14.519. Here is a picture of three runs. I put the year make model towards the bottom. Sorry for the wrinkles. My girl didn't know and she threw them away. My car # was 29. Idk how well this picture is going to come out. This is my first time posting anything. Please tell me this isn't normal. What about a basic tune up? Sparks? I mean the car runs excellent and like I said I've got a book of maintenance receipts from the original owner.

I know it's the ISF. It's got 8 cylinders/coils. Just sounds like a V8. This is the only picture I have currently. Has Lexus engraved on all four calipers. I know you can't see it in this picture. has drilled rotors idk if this matters but I did fly up to Salt Lake City to pick the car up. Which means it has spend all its life up in elevation...

Yeah I was very disappoint in the outcome. Once I was told I hit a 14.541 I froze. With the age I was thinking at least somewhere in the 13s. But I will try using different gas and reset the ecu. Thanks for all the recommendation. With it having 95k miles do is there anything I can do maintenance wise that might help?
