Default Resetting the ECU
Hey guys,

From what I read on this forum, the best way to reset the F's ECU is to pull the ECI1 fuse for a few minutes, replace it, and you're good to go.
I assume this fuse does not affect any of the other electronics on board that have memory?
Also, is the fuse located in the main fuse box?

Its actually TWO fuses to complete the ECU Reset..

IS-F engine bay - fuse box cover shown below with pulled fuses..

ETCS & EFI

you can drain it quicker by holding the brake down, once the lights die you are good.

Before or After what step(s)???

There are really only 2 easy ways..
Fuse pulling takes a bit longer, but none of the nav dests. are lost or window resetting inolved, which happens when removing the neg. battery cable..

1 minute in either case.

Its the same as the IS350...

Sounds like you're going to spend more time jumping in and out of the driver's seat rather than doing the aforementioned method above.

Only thing I lost was my seat memory and reset the windows.

All were still there... Even the garage door opener didn't need reprogramming...

cant u reset it throught the nav screen? there is a back coded page u can access that shows speed, temp, nav codes and radio codes etc.

Thank you Joe and Lobux. I finally decided to do this today. I'm going to drive the car around a bit later to get everything "learned" prior to my final dyno session tonight to test the combination of both the intake/exhaust. This will complete my dyno journal and I better see close to 375whp and nothing less than 370.59.
