2013 Lexus LS 460 - Lowered with Skipper Lowering Link
I've recently installed the Skipper Lowering Link to my 2013 LS 460 AWD, non-LWB. I know most guys drop their LS with either aftermarket air suspension, or the DataSystem Module on OEM bags. Lowering links are another common method (also, an affordable way to lower the vehicle), however I personally did not find much threads on DIY installs or pictures of OEM suspension with the links.
Personally, I'm more budget conscious when it comes to spending money on the vehicle. Therefore I went with the cheapest way to lower the car, just for aesthetic purposes.
I thought I'd just share few pictures of my car, and share some of the experiences I've had after driving the vehicle for about 3 weeks now with lowering links.
The Skipper Lowering Link drops the front 1.3" and the rear 1.5". It is pretty much a plug and play sorta deal, with proper tools and equipment it should be done within a couple of hours at most. Wheel alignment should be done professionally.
ISSUES:
The LS' OEM air suspension automatically lowers the vehicle after 65 miles per hour or 90 km/h. I have noticed that while I am cruising on the highway, if I let off the gas after 65mph or 90kmh the car has a settle vibration. If I apply gas, the vibration goes away. Going downhill, I tested the vehicle by putting it in neutral and coasted past 65mph and the car did not vibrate.
The car has been to an alignment shop and the rear tow was off, and fixed. However the vibration while coasting on Drive after 65mpg is still there. Anyone know why that might be?
Greatly appreciated if there are any feedbacks/suggestions on this topic.
Anyways, here are some pictures of the vehicle after the install Enjoy!
P.S. I am aware of the silly OEM 19"s, working on saving up towards a new set up

It was done by a friend of mine who had proper jack + jack stands. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of the install itself..
Basically, we took off the wheels and lifted up the car.
The OEM links will then be in plain sight.
The Skipper Lowering Links came adjusted to the lowest right height, so there were no adjustments made there.
It was then just removing the linkages, and replacing them with the new ones.

And yes the puddle lights do add another great aesthetic touch to the vehicle.
I had mine done at a local shop that specializes in wiring and audio work. They did have a bit of trouble drilling holes and feeding the wires through to the fuse.
Side skirts are usually hollow but for the LS they have a metal frame underneath, so they drilled extra holes for each LED module and its wiring.

would u be able to find out if he did it with the car on or off?
Some say the car needs to be running but it doesn't make sense to me
Thanks

Awesome information. Any idea how many inches it drops at 65? I'm betting it's going to low throwing the camber off . You might need to raise it 1/2 inch or whatever the amount that it lowers at 65? Do you order these preset with the amount of drop you want and from where ?

You may have altered the driveshaft angles enough to show an imbalance. I have seen posts somewhere about this. Raise it back up to see or live with it and possible driveline work later.l.
