6th time the Battery has been drained and won't start
I bought my Certified 2013 GS350 from a Lexus dealership a year ago and have had it either towed or jumped and taken to the dealership who has told me there is nothing wrong. After the 5th time, I went a replaced the battery myself. Three weeks later, the battery was completely dead. I do not leave anything (i.e. charging cell phone, keyfob) in the car and it keeps dying. Has anyone found the cause?

The cause was traced back to vampiric drain from a module (I don't recall which one). The issue spanned the 6ES, 4GS, and 3IS lines so search those threads and you should find it being discussed.

Your issue is probably related to this: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/...dPdf?id=195332
My VIN falls into this.
I'm going to give Lexus Hell tomorrow.
My battery died 2 times now.

So stupid. I hate Lexus and their tons of TSIB.
They need to just fix these things ahead of time.
I made Lexus pay for this repair and replace my battery.
check your VIN!

Since the issue was discovered after the vehicles were delivered, it would have been impossible for them to address it ahead of time. That said, it did take over 3 years for them to even recognize the issue and create the TSB.

i'm just starting to catch up with this topic thread on the TSIB.
although, I haven't experienced any of those symptoms discussed here, I contacted my local service center
and they said that I would have to make a complaint in order for them to check it out.
my VIN falls just before the TSIB VIN cut-off which is part of the TSIB.
2014 GS350 RWD with 25k miles (eligible under warranty)
I'm getting my battery mesaured today at my local shop to see if it falls under 50amp,
according to the TSIB steps.
My question is: Do I need to bring the car into service center (under this TSIB),
even though i'm not experiencing these symptons since I bought the vehicle in 2014 and the TSIB came out in 7/16 of last year?
thanks.

Question for the audience, I am looking a 2013 GS 350 F-Sport with a VIN that falls before the cutoff. It is a Car Max car and not a CPO. Am i understanding the TSIB correctly that the VIN check is only applicable if the car is equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring or Lane Departure Alert. A Car with a VIN before the cutoff but without these options should not be affected correct?
Has any one had any luck getting this problem fixed by Lexus outside of the warranty?
Has anyone tried to run these check themselves? It seems other than the battery check, that is is a pretty simple test? Then just replace the "Network Gateway ECU" themselves, assuming it can be purchased from Lexus or another vendor.
ATIS.

Battery problems continue 350ES 2016
I bought a new 2016 350ES at the start of the new 2017 model year. Soon after I started having problems starting it. They kept telling me it was because I didn't drive it enough. Sounds like they haven't changed their story. It's been checked out by the dealer several times and also by engineer brought in from CA, they replaced the batteries in car and key fob. We've sent letters to corporate, and all we get is "you don't drive it enough" I am not going to change my driving habits. I think they need to correct their problem! My last car (Cadillac CTS) had all the bells and whistles and it always started. This problem occurs sometimes after I've made many stops, so my days of driving for Meals on Wheels with this car are over. They installed a trickle charger on it and every night my husband plugs it in so I am fully charged. We are fearful to take this car on vacation where access to a plug isn't possible or after sitting at the airport for a few days. No way to feel when you have a brand new luxury car with all the accessories you are afraid to use because they draw too much power.
It was interesting to see the internal memo concerning the computer issue that caused this intermittent problem on models up until 2015, especially since the dealer is acting like this is a new problem and they never heard of this before except for people like me who drive around 10,000 miles a year. I guess people like us are not candidates as Lexus owners and that should be communicated in their showrooms and in their advertising.
