Default Fender liner fasteners

I’m trying to remove the driver side front lower fender liner (to get to the washer reservoir, separate thread).
The plastic fasteners are not the two piece kind where you lift the center then remove it, but look like plastic rivets where you need to punch the center through, then replace the whole fastener to reattach.
i have all the forked trim removal tools but they’re not cutting it.
Any ideas other than breaking them out? Are these the kind that were originally in there? Seems like some pieces around the nose have been removed before.

Not sure exactly where these fasteners are but the wheel liner comes out as one large plastic piece. There's no way to separate it 1/2 way. To remove the washer bottle you'd need to take off the front bumper completely. I don't know if there's an easier way to do it. I don't think you can acoid having to remove the bumper even with the wheel liner off.

Well, shoot.
I penned a response earlier, but I must not have submitted it.
Anyway, I'm just trying to get to the sensor so I've discovered I only have to move the bumper forward enough to get in there, but have to remove all the fasteners anyway! I'm not looking forward to slipping it back in place.
Back to my thread on the washer reservoir sensor ...

Thanks for the into and the diagrams.

I did the same at work and I don’t know what happened — I must’ve not submitted either.

I just wanted to say if any of the plastic fasteners are ruined beyond repair and you have to get replacements and have the part numbers — not sure if they’re 1 thru 4 in @dan25man’s diagram… or even if you have to get a new OEM washer reservoir sensor and have the part number — here’s my spiel:

If you decide to go OEM and get the part numbers, I recommend going thru one of these online dealerships’ parts depts — Bell Lexus (AZ), Treasure Coast Lexus (FL), or Prestige Lexus (NJ) depending on your locale.

And if you can wait for next sales that are usually around holidays and seasonal events, you can save even more off their already marked down prices.

Next sale should be Independence Day sale June 26th thru July 4th — I will post forum wide when confirmed.
