RX 350H Another new noise!!
This occurred yesterday. And I have to say it was the most unusual noise I've ever heard from a car. Now I'm 70YO and have bought many new cars over the years. I've had squeaks, wind noise, growls, thumps, etc, etc, etc,
But yesterday my wife and I were in the car. On three different occasions as we were going at slower speeds....maybe 35-45mph, the car generated a noise like a "high pitch howl". Yup. Sounded almost like an old Sci-Fi movie spaceship noise.
She wears hearing aids (Fortunately for me...my hearing is the only thing that still works as it should) and ask me "Did you hear that"? Yup. I have no idea what it was.....but I've never heard any vehicle emit such a strange sound.
Maybe it was a 1950's UFO? But it was like "WHHHHAAAAAA" and sort of echo-ie.
