I have a base model 2002 and seek to replace my factory radio. I have the simple factory radio with 6 dvd player ( Non-Mark Levinson) and no screen. I want an easy to replace radio with good AM/FM reception that does not require rewiring or too much dash reworking. Any recommendations?

Crutchfield is a good place to start, they are quite knowledgeable and you can speak with them on the phone for detailed info. Added a link for 2002 LS430 non-nav options...
Looking in ls430 area search for radio ...... get links to tire noise in ls460, and other unwanted links.
Am I using the search bar incorrectly? or does this forum have poor search engine?
I just checked and it is acting very odd I see what you are talking about. Are you looking for more of apple carplay/android auto type thing? I would recommend looking at the grom series here is a link to there website.
Thanks for the referral to Grom. Unfortunately their website and product explanations are so poor, that it is impossible to understand what the heck their products accomplish. The utility of their products is a mystery to me. I do not see myself purchasing anything from that outfit.
BeatSonic used to be what you wanted but it is long since out of production. Crutchfield should still sell the mounting kit and interface kit for a double DIN of your choice, though the install can be a bit tedious, plan for a full day especially if you add a back up camera. I documented mine a little bit if you go to my old build thread.

GROM Audio here! Interesting what exactly is unclear with our products or representation? We are here to help
As for replacing the stereo to the same OEM, probably eBay is the best bet to find the used OEM stereo for your car. And if for the aftermarket, then the Crutchfield should help.
If you want to add the Bluetooth streaming function to your factory car stereo, you can use the GROM BT3 Bluetooth car kit TOYLB3 model: https://gromaudio.com/store/bt3_adap...-bt3-toyl.html
Pioneer DMH-260BT at Walmart. I have a 2001 base model, no nav. Bought an install kit from Crutchfield. Easy job and I think it looks great. Also, best feature is wireless Apple Carplay.
