Hi everyone, i was underneath my 2009 rx350 car the other day doing an oil change. I noticed there was some fluid that had leaked around the lower control arm (pass. Side). I put my car up on the ramps today and noticed that there was a touch of PS fluid that leaked. It seems to be from the larger pS hose (feed line) where it connects at the bottom. The hose is original. I squeezed it a bit at the top of the hose (near reservoir) and it still feels a little soft. Could it be the clamp that is getting slack or could it be the hose? Are these ps hoses hard to change?
thanks

here's a pic of where the hose connects to ps pump
Probably depends how handy you are. That is a pricey and difficult repair because of limited access (~3-4 hours labor). Had to have it done on our 2004 RX330.
Edit: On the RX330, it is a high pressure power steering hose, not sure if the RX350 is the same, so maybe not as bad for labor.
You can make the hose yourself with some 5/8" transmission cooler or ps hose, or find the assembly aftermarket on Rockauto. That's the reservoir to pump hose (the 2nd low pressure hose along with the return line) so not too bad to change. I would just get a new clamp while you're there. I found some of those old spring tension clamps on my car got a bit loose with age and didn't clamp as hard as they used to
Edit: Sunsong 3405794 hose on RA comes with two new clamps
Mattrx. Yes i already ordered the new hose from rock. It was the other brand that is available for the rx. Comes with 2 clamps. I thought of just changing the clamp, but it looked like it was "sweating AROUND the clamp area so figured might as well change the whole tube.
i was thinking to change ghe other small section of tube (return line to reservoir), and idea of what thickness that tube is?
thanks
