Default Easy and cool engine bay light mod... Only 15 min and $20

Is it me or when did they stop putting lights under the hood of cars? I swear I've owed a few that used to have lights... Definitely useful for checking things out on the trail or just working on the car in general. Nothing Amazon can't fix!

Got the 20 inch led strip for $20. Comes pre wired with a pressure switch and a decent little in line 5 amp fuse. I cut those off and will be adding to my 6 gang auxbeam switch panel.

I used a couple drops of loctite gel glue to "help" hold the strip and then popped off a couple clips to run the wires under the hood heat shield or whatever. Easy to install really cleanly and very functional. Highly recommended!

Ford have them, but they also know for issues, so factory knew you had to work in engine bay on the side of the road at dark...

vBut in all fairness its useful to have that light

IDK about Ford but I'm coming from a decade of Jeep ownership so I just assume being broken down on the side of the road or on the trail working in a dark engine bay is the norm lol

10pm picture....Like daylight under there!
