I've been pondering trading my turbo GS300 for a GS400 of the same year or newer as I drive around in my friend's sentra. As some of you might know, my car is in the shop getting new rings and pistons and other good stuff put in. I hate not being about to drive my car around. I eventually get it back, but then I'll probably want to do something else to it and away to the shop it goes again. I really don't want to get another car as a daily driver/backup. I love my car and it runs great, but when it goes it for upgrades or mods, it's down several weeks because the shops around here suck. I just don't have to time to work on it as I had initially planned when starting the turbo project. What are some of your thoughts? Do you think someone would trade their 1999-2000 GS400 for my 1999 turbo GS300?
I wasn't too busy at work today, so I was kinda tossing around the idea. I was curious on what you guys thought about that.
LEXISM - It should be making close to 300 rwhp right now, but I'm not sure since I haven't dynoed it since I turned up the boost. I'll probably do that once the engine is back together.
just know this, if you trade it at a dealer, or just plain out right sell it, your going to take a major hit on all that stuff you put on it. I know this because i ran into that problem when i was selling my camry with the turbo. the thing is, these cars were never intended to be driven by people that have the moding bug, they were always designed for people that have lots of money and dont really care about how fast the car is. so if your going to sell or trade, most likely its going to have to be a tuner like yourself. i would consider something like that if it wasnt for the fact that ive always wanted the gs400, not just a gs.
