Default Front Lexus emblem black pearl tint

I recently received this cover from Don Nguyen about a month ago. Do to bad weather just installed it. In direct sunlight you can see the gloss and a slight tint. It's more noticeable doing sunset and later. It looks nice to me.

I thought it was going to be darker but it looks fine to me. I'm not a fan of the chrome either. I will be blacking it out soon. I like how dark yours is.

How did you tint your emblem? It looks good.

It looks about the same to me, maybe its the picture unless the tint is really light. I know the black pearl emblem is expensive but it makes a nice difference, I'm glad I got mine. If you can find a deal on one I'd recommend it.

Yeah, I've been searching for some emblems for a bit. I've found the back emblems on ebay for 79 and the front for 139.

Looks pretty good, did they just spray it or something? I'd imagine this way would be cheaper than the $200+ for the actual black pearl emblems. I definitely like the look of the black pearl emblems better, but this may be a cheaper alternative.

Cheap alternative: Plastidip smoke 8 coats or so and 3-4 coats of the glossifier. Up close it still looks kinda matte and not super glossy, but tinted.

The darker you want it the more coats. If you screw up it's easy to redo. Looks great if you don't need it super-glossy.

You could also use vht nightshade. Most people who use it on tails don’t use it right. If anyone wants more info I can help but it’s more of a permanent solution. It can be wet sanded and polished after to look glossy but smoke the emblem. I actually have my stock one still, maybe I’ll mess with it soon.

whats up bro!? Sorry for the delayed response! I used regular tint overlays by 3m. With proper heat gun, took minutes to apply. Hope that helps! Send pix of yours when completed! Best of luck!
