I'm looking into trading my RC 350 F Sport in on the RC F and I won't normally be driving at 100mph. I haven't seen a 2017 yet as no dealer in northern Ohio has one. Not that this will keep me from purchasing the car, but I do feel that it's disappointing to find out.
yeah and the trans am ram air hood is ugly and tasteless. this is coming from a guy who owned a Trans am ws6 10 years ago

Lexus HQ finally learned to tighten the RCF inventory!!! Back in 2015 and 2016 there were excessive inventory and hence a lot of us got big discounts.

Typo on my part, I had a 1997 not 1999, which was before they came out with the monster ugly hood. lol

In the hot humid summer I do see hot air/steam flowing up from the hood scope going to the windshield while stopped at light or going around 25 mph..

Here is a Lexus HQ pic rendering:

B, Cincinnati was the closest dealer to me, I am in Columbus, to have a RCF new in inventory. I had to buy mine LCert RCF down in Georgia BECAUSE Ohio seems to be lacking in inventory. There are a few in Louisville including an owner selling his. Check out the "Lexus RC Club" on facebook and look for a Ken S and his posts.

I look forward tonthe poster on here who opened his up more to post pics. Because I think Im smarter than lexus engineers... for sure. *rolling my eyes*

It's a "vent", not a "scoop". A scoop allows cool intake air into the engine compartment.

Needed to keep V8 engine temperatures down to a minimum level either when moving or parked. The pressure differential will force heat out of the little slot. Basic thermal dynamics. It's covered to keep the elements out of the bay.

IMO, remove at your own risk.

This is what I was trying to explain. You just did a better job. Even without the slot, heat will radiate due to the plastic acting as a membrane, like osmosis

I have three big, honking, rain-sucking holes in the hood of my Hellcat. The cooling's necessary but, because of that, I choose to never have it see the rain. Kinda sucks but it is what it is.

I've gotta agree. My Hellcat doesn't see rain either (usually), but only because she's black! I hate spots.
she tends to run harder when there's excessive moisture though. Like going fast, pain to keep engine bay clean!
the Lexus vent doesn't allow moisture to enter like my big girl though!
