Hey guys, so I was having issues with my trans and was able to source a good one with low miles along with torque converter. I ended up replacing both torque converter and transmission. Filled with brand new type tiv. Started it up, shifts through all gears perfect but doesn't move at all. Feels like it's not even engaging. Reverse lights come on and everything. Idle fluctuates when I shift. Just does not move at all. Replaced with brand new battery also. Please help guys! 2001 ls430
Someone posted 2 great printouts of fuses to check for my ls430 transmission. I'm trying to figure out where the post went? Idk how it's just not there now

Yeah, RKW77080 posted a few diagrams, but they're gone. Maybe he's looking for better info to post???

Have you double checked the trans fluid? Now that you have ran it through the gears double check the trans fluid level, I've seen this happen before where the level looks good just after installing but after first start up it works a lot of air out and the trans is so low on fluid it won't move.
You sir are a saint. Thank you so much. Gonna try these tonight will check back in tonight! Thank you guys! Yes double checked fluid. Driveshaft bolted up

Here are all the transmission related fuses you should check.
Hey guys so I checked all fuses and connections again everything looks good. Im really confused could the torque convert possibly be an issue somehow? That's what my buddy keeps telling me. Also, when I put into reverse while cold the RPMs go up rather than drop down like they used to. Please help guys thank you!
I don't see the torque converter being your problem unless you forgot to bolt it to the flexplate. Did it have fluid in it when you installed it? Was it fully seated on the transmission to where you had to slide it towards the engine to install the bolts? Even if the converter itself was bad the car should still move at least a little bit.
Have you tried giving the engine some throttle while in gear to see if it will move at all? There could be air pockets in the trans or converter.
Did you double check to make sure the shifter is hooked up correctly on the trans? It may be falling in between detents and not really in a gear.

thanks 911LE for the insight. Yea so there is paint marks on the torque converter and the flex plate that help you align it correctly. It all sat flush and bolted together perfectly. Yes i let it all get to operating temp and put in gear and give it gas and nothing. I went under while a buddy went through the gears and I could see it all moving how it's supposed to. Could one of the sensors have gone bad? Im at a complete loss with this.
What kind of issues were you having with the original transmission? How many miles did it have?
i had 240k on the other one. It would take a long time to go into gear when cold I would have to give it gas for it to finally bang into gear in reverse or drive. Until one day it got too bad even when warm to the point I couldn't drive it anymore. I had no check engine light. I did not check the codes though.
