Default resting spot for gas cap??

am I just stupid or does my 2014 GS350 not have a place to rest the gas cap while fueling up?

I actually bought this car for my dad and never got gas myself until now.

lol

Yes, it's on the fuel door. Sorry I don't have a pic but I am sure it's in the owner's manual.

It's on the black plastic hinge.

It holds it securely. There is a round indentation there that you push the cap into to hold it into place.

It's plenty secure so long as you remember to put the cap back on the tank before driving off.

One point of caution, do ensure you get it on properly. It's quite secure, however if you put it on crooked, it may feel like it's on but then fall off quickly. I made that mistake once when I tried to rush and wasn't looking when I put it on, but thought I felt it go on.
