Default Another "No power at CC/Radio" inquiry

Hello everyone.

So, about a week ago I have a "helper" at my shop and I asked him to simply put the WORKING Nakamichi head unit back into this car. It was working fine.
We had to remove it again to check the connections, and I had him reinstall it.

Well, now there is no power at the Climate control unit or head.

I've replaced ALL of the fuses and still nothing.

I am convinced it has to be some sort of grounding issue, something that got jacked around when this guy was reinstalling. Can anyone confirm this possibility and maybe direct me to where the dash harness ground is located?
All other gauges and electronics work fine.

From what I've read, this is commonly caused by a short in the cigarette lighter so, I have disconnected that, even though it looks and seems great. No joy.

I apologize if this is redundant but I have searched and searched and can't find an immediate solution.

Thanks so much in advance for any insight into this issue.

I know you said you disconnected the lighter, but check if there is something like a penny or dime in there. I had this same issue, turns out I had a dime stuck in the cig lighter, then replace the blown fuse.

Thanks for the reply.

Definitely nothing in the socket in there doesn't appear to be any blown fuses. I installed some of the blow and glow fuses and all of those seem good. I've even tested them with my multimeter.

I guess maybe I should test at the fuse box and see if I'm actually getting power there. I suppose I could then do the same thing with the harness. I did manage to find a wiring diagram.

Well, No joy.
It's been frustrating af but I am going to dive back into it again, this weekend.
I have no Tilt Steering, HVAC Controls, Radio, Electronic Locks.

All of this was present before diddling with the radio, gone now.

Seat adjustment doesn't work but it never did.
I am just going to start over and recheck everything I checked, before.
Seems like too many unrelated symptoms. Looking at wiring diagrams, I see nothing shared exclusively by these items.

I've had those radios in and out lots of times and no problems. Someone must have tugged too hard on some wire, or pinched or ruined it.
