Hey guys, yesterday a couple of my friends & I decided to hit the track. We did some roll races & met a few guys. I also had the privilege to meet SoulFreak, (very cool dude). Thanks for hanging out man. Your car is clean!! I wanted to run you but these events more focuses on the TOP 10 list racers. So i was only able to get two passes. My friend has a 2013 OBSIDIAN IS-F (whom i raced) On 20' Vossen, Injen Intake, Borla Exhaust and AIR suspension. They were just friendly runs. I have Sikky Headers, no Cats, no Resonators, JoeZ intake & aFe Dry Intake. Enjoy!!

Yes & No. There is weight that plays a big part in this race. However headers do make a difference indeed from previous races we had.

Yea man come out next event. It was a blast not just racing but hanging out as well.

 

SoulFreak checking in! What a night yesterday's event brought! As I headed towards inspection, I immediately noticed the USB unicorn! To my left. I screamed in joy to my wife..." look, look, look!!!! I have an F brother/sister here!!! Yes!!!" It definitely put me at ease as I had no clue how the event worked...I'll get to that in a moment.

It was great to finally meet other F brothers! Indeed! OP you were a gentleman and your friend was cool too. By mistake I thought he had a smoky granite mica...hahaha. Until I walked towards the front of it and realized it was Obsidian like mine...oops! The event was a fiasco, I definitely recommend to attend at least once to experience it. It's totally disorganized, to one of the employees that worked there. I was grateful for his efforts, he set up a run for me with a Chevy Cobalt SS. I wanted a dig the other guy wanted a 40 roll.

Desperate to get warmed up on the strip I agreed. It was my first roll race and I agree, I totally suck at it and need more practice. Needless to say, I beat him by half a car. As I returned to the staging lanes, I told myself "here we go again, I gotta find someone else to race." To my amazement! I ended behind a 2002 Camaro z28 that I ran 3 weeks ago at another event on the same drag strip. The owner immediately recognized me and wanted redemption! As I beat him the first time we ran...lol. He was like "you!!! Yes!!! Please tell me you want to run from a dig???" I said "absolutely!!!"

His car is fully built, making about 430whp, awesome person and great team he has. He practices every Friday at the same strip at a event I'm regularly attending now called Test and Tune. Him and I shared the same idea of coming to practice and getting that time slip. It seemed most wanted to roll race, it's all good though.We waited over an hour until I overheard a Corolla raced a GTR and the Corolla almost t boned the GTR after loosing control and ended up on the wall. Not sure if the driver survived, I hope he did. Unfortunately, it was past 11 the event was until 12. A lot of cars were leaving in frustration because they took such a long time to reopen the lanes. Then accident happened which led to more downtime, the Camaro owner was tired and my wife had work early the next day. We bailed!

Guys! Keep an eye for Friday's Test and Tune presented by R.J.S Racing Equipment 6pm-11pm $20 and run all night. It's much more organized, you'll easily run 4-6 passes and get a time slip. It's very fun and we can all share insight to get better. For Novemeber there won't be anymore events held for the rest of the month. In December, it should commence.

Op PM since we live very close, I'm literally right by the Hard Rock Stadium. No reason why we can't link up more often. I want to feel the power of some headers. I know EddyISF (sn) is coming out to the next event, it will be great to get all of us together. I'll let you check out my exhaust in more detail. Thanks for the compliments! My hands never get tired of keeping this pain in the ...obsidian dark.

Also check out the drag/dyno thread, I been posting awesome videos my friends made from those events. I also been posting my time slips except for the 2nd time I went, I been lazy, but I'll get around to it.

Ah, ok, so it wasn't a traditional 1/4 mile race. Could really tell what was going on, lol. Pretty neat idea... especially if they can get it organized, etc. Seems like there were alot of people and cars out there! Where exactly was this?

This particular event is held once a year Sat and Sun. It's called Street Racing Made Safe. There's roll racing from 20,40, 60 and digs. $25 on sat from 6-12pm. Sun is $75 from 9am-6pm. At Palm Beach International Raceway.
