I agree, I think they are burning out from being on all the time. when they are used as a turn signal, the bulbs will last forever.
It's possible but unless you look at the bulb itself to see if the filament is still intact you won't know for sure because pushing the connector on to make sure it's snug might fix what you think is a burned out bulb.
What cssnms said above has happened to me probably 5-6 times and it's always happened on my passengers side. The first time I checked the bulb and it was good and when I installed it back it worked fine. It happened again I checked the bulb and it was good. Next few times I just pushed the connector to make sure it's seated and all is fine. And by the way the connector has never completely came off of the bulb so for anyone with a hyper-flashing DRL / blinker try to push the connector onto the bulb before automatically replacing it.
just used Techstream to cut off the DRL's on the GX but it would not do it for the 2002 GS300. The DRL's never showed up. Also could not figure out how to cut off the door chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open.
I checked with him and it is everything including the guts and he will cut it for you also.
YuP. My key is on order. A local lock shop wanted $206 for a cut & programed key. Really not a bad price, but the key would not be OEM. Gonna try my luck at programming this one. I'm just not comfortable with only one key!
BTW: Ordered parts from mylparts.com last Tuesday arrived here Thursday. (I'm in Wi theyr're in Ca)

New key arrived today (2 day delivery again). It is OEM and it was cut perfectly. I didn't mess with programming. Took it to ACE Hardware and had them do the programming. Works Great!
Programming was $79.11 with the tax. A little steep, but my closest Lexus dealer is 40 miles away. Figuring in gas, time and tolls, not tooo bad a deal. Total cost was $187.27
