I really want to hear my engine. I want a nice sound but not something that drives nuts after twenty miles. Options seem to be Magna flow cat back and Soarer resonator back. Opinions are welcome.
Soarer is a muffler replacement that leaves the resonator intact. Magna flow appears to be a replacement from the cat back with what looks like two stainless steel glass pack looking mufflers. My guess is the Magna flow would probably be much louder than the Soarer. I'm looking for opinions from people that have either or are familiar with either. Let me know how satisfied you are with them.
My personal experience is I have heard a fellow members car with the Magna flow system and that sounded just right for me, good sound and not to loud. To buy a Maga flow in England costs something like £1200 not including fitting. So with that in mind I went for a muffler delete with just straight pipes. It is alright pottering around but I wouldn't enjoy a relaxed touring journey with it on. I then tried just a resonator delete but that was a little too quiet. I put the resonator and muffler delete on together and in my opinion that was far to loud for me so currently I am now back to just the muffler delete. Having now spent £800 I now wish I had splashed out on the Magna flow but hindsight is a wonderful thing. My problem is I want the car to sound great outside but not to intrusive on the inside with the top up and windows closed which I now realise is pretty unrealistic. The other issue is the standard car is such a quiet, comfortable and relaxed car to drive most modifications have a detrimental effect although I haven't noticed much change in ride quality by putting on wider 19" wheels. We are all different in what we want out of our cars and I may at some point go back to the standard exhaust set up especially if I ever want to sell it. Modified cars are hard to sell in the UK and usually sell for a lot less money.
Not too many options for bolt on besides magnaflow and Meagan racing. Haven't heard of the soarer exhaust you mentioned.
I started with a resonator delete and 3rd cat delete. tone and volume were perfect for me (daily driver), but the drone was getting on my nerves.
Most people who do the resonators delete don't do the third cat delete, so maybe that is where the drone came from.
so I had the exhaust shop install some magnaflow resonators where the stock resonators used to be. Tone is now perfect but lacking in the volume department. I have been thinking about maybe a muffler delete.
my suggestion would to be to just unbolt the stock muffler and see if you like how it sounds before you do anything or buy anything else
For a sound you can hear without being obnoxious and for $250 or less if you can do exhaust worl. Just remove the resonators and third cat and replace them with straight pipe. Leave the mufflers where they are. No drone on mine???
I paid $250 and could have done it myself for $75 if I wanted to.

Any sound clips? Isn't a soarer muffler the same as the SC muffler? Why would they be different?
No sound clips because they are useless since your ears are different from mine, without a LOT of technical inputs, my clip means NOTHING. I hve listened to a bunch of clips and no two were alike even on the same car,
