My SC was a daily driver also. While the Dallas area doesn't have the snow issues you do in Canada, we still had our days. I was on a crested road covered in ice, on a curve, in bumper to bumper traffic and still made it through. (It did try to slide down toward the ditch a couple of times but I managed to keep it on the road.) You just have to take it easy and careful. Accelerate and slow down slowly.
SC is not a daily driver here in northern NJ but I have dedicated winter tires anyway that go on sometime in Dec. Feels much better than trying to risk it with all seasons when it is 30 degrees outside. I try to keep the SC running through the winter, ideally driving out on cold dry days.
Do you guys do any maintenance to the top or any drain points to clean? Thinking of lubing the window, rubber seals and what ever top mechanism I can see.

When you open the trunk lid in each corner towards the back seat there is a drain hole. For the rubber get some Honda (part Number 08798-9013) ShinEtsu Shin-Etsu silicone Grease and apply a thin coat to all the rubber seals at least once a year. Make sure you ware latex gloves when you apply the grease.

The traction on the rear shouldn't be so bad because the top is quite heavy and she's got a lot of junk in the trunk. if you get stuck, try lowering the top (coolest guy in alberta 4 sure) to add even more weight to the rear tires. Also there's a snow mode... HA!
Good idea about putting the top down for more weight in the back. Hopefully, I never have to do that! Cheers!Originally Posted by Badhobz

Thanks Tjz! Good to know.Originally Posted by Tjz
Jay, I’m here in Chicago and I daily drive my SC year round. I do switch to winter tires Nov 1. I have found the traction to be great with snow tires and I have had no problem driving during a snow storm. But, caution and a gentle foot on the gas is required. No different than any other car in the snow. My SC drives better in the snow with winter tires than my other front drive cars with all season tires.Enjoy the ride year round!
