Default Help! Automatic door CD player

Hey, first post need easy fix.lol I just bought a 2003 sc430. I tried the CD player for the first time, and it wouldn’t load my cd or eject the previous owners cd. I found out too late the fix of slamming your hand on the side while pressing eject. That actually worked and the cd was ejected and I was able to load my cd. Now it works fine.

Unfortunately, before that fix, I tried to take the CD player out to empty the cds. In the process of doing that , I took out the wood panel thats in between the heated seats buttons and CD player automatic door. It was such a tight fit that I forced the cd/radio wood door up without pressing the button that opens and closes it. After I fixed the cd ejection problem, I put everything back together but now the door that covers the CD player won’t open and close automatically when I push the button.I have to use my hand now. Is this fixable or did I screw it up for good by forcing the door up with my hand and not using the button to open it.

It sounds like the connector on the switch is loose, remove the wood panel and inspect.

Try the connection to the switch that opens the door.
