Congrats and welcome to the club. There are few possibilities :
Hey, I just got into one of these as well. Does your AC control panel and Radio controls work? Does the touchscreen turn on and work? May just be a blown fuse too. If you've done interior car work before it's not that difficult to pull the radios out to get to the touchscreen assembly. You can probably find a How-To on the forum.

Welcome to Club Lexus. Always nice to have another Arizonian on-board.
The motor that opens and closes the door is a very common failure point on the SC430. Most people buy the whole assembly off ebay to solve the problem.
A few people get more hands on and replace the motor; Though it is more challenging then it sounds.
Plug this into a google search and you can read about it "Clublexus.com BGW70 Nav screen motor" (make sure you take out the quotes)
Daryl is suggesting you purchase the entire screen assembly…he provided a link.
there are two motors, one for tilt and one for the door. Sounds like the tilt motor went bad. The motors are about $5ea.
How far do you want to venture?
either way, the screen assembly must be removed.

Since both the tilt and the door were not working, the possibility of both motors went bad are slim. It just could be the harness not plugged in properly.

the door motor could be fine but it won’t activate if the screen is not tilted all the way back. The picture is showing the screen in a position that won’t allow the door to close.
