I think I was the first to take the plunge after many failed attempts to get a dyno tune on this ECU. No complaints, I really love the ability to go from stock smoothness to "race mode." I'm jealous that the newer ECUs change the way manual mode works. Mine works like OEM, whatever gear you choose is the highest gear it will shift to. The newer quantum ECUs have an option where whatever gear you pick is what you stay in, like a real manual without a clutch.
The install, like detailed above, is effortless. I swapped back and forth a few times when quantum was still figuring out the SC430 and sent me different units to try.
I don't think anyone could give you a solid answer. There are a million attributes that could effect the longevity of the car. But Quantum is proven over time and they were my choice for my 2003 SC.

yeah fair enough. Driving style would have as much impact as anything as well.
on a side note you might be able to comment on, have you used the remap along with Calvin's throttle controller? Diminishing returns on the remap if you already have the controller?

I didn't run either of those. I went straight to ECU programming well the car was stored for the winter.

I have both the throttle controller and ECU. Only because I bought the throttle controller first, but I can’t leave well enough alone, so a few years later I bought the ECU.
If I were you, just get the ECU and save some money. I kept the throttle controller installed but it is turned down to one of the lower settings.
