Default M/L Question

Does the volume level on your oem stereo change volume depending on which mode selected. My CD and Tape Deck are crisp, clear and loud while AM, FM volume is about 1/2. Is this normal? Thanks.

Thank You everyone. I suspected as much but didn't know if some of the systems i.e. Radio tuner were out of calibration. Now I know!😁
