I bought a 2005 sc430 about a month ago and I'm wondering how to fix the navigation system everytime I turn on the car the lexus symbol comes on and then it says Bluetooth connection failed and then the screen turns black. After reading up on it I did figure out that there's a machine in the trunk that's suppose to have a cd in there and I did locate it but there's no cd in it. It does sound like the motor is running so if I get the cd for it will that fix it?

 

Hello. Depending on model year, they have a couple of different decks. Your 05 should be using the latest model available through the 2010 year. The bad news Lexus no longer supports the SC nav system. Last updated in 2013 I believe. The system is really outdated and everyone now just uses their cell phone. You should check ebay. But the one I bought didn't work. But I did buy an updated disk for an 02. Might not have been compatible. You need the disk. Once you get the disk, your system should be restored. Good luck.
