Navigation?
I noticed a navigation unit in the trunk (on the top right side) of my lexus (1995). You can put in a disc but there is nothing in it. I wonder what this does, because i don't see any kind of navigation in my car. I got the 6-disc changer in the dash and the normal audio.
What can i do with this??

Is there a Toyota or Lexus logo or name on this "navigation unit in the trunk" and is there a part number on a label attached to the unit? Provide a part number and maybe we can look it up.
If your car originally had a phone, the ECU for the phone would be in the trunk.

I do not know who made the navigation system for Europe. I assumed that a Japanese company would have made it but it is possible that Phillips did. The 98-00 Lexus navigation system for Europe was CD based and different from the North American navigation system which was has a small hard drive. I suppose it is possible that your car came with navigation but a previous owner installed a standard head unit - that is sometimes done here when a navigation system fails or just because the 98-00 North American navigation system was so poor.
