Default Front license plate bolts

Front license plate bolts

just transported my SC 430 to a different state where I have to have two license plates. I bought a license plate bracket from lexusparts.com, does anyone know what size bolts I will need to install it on the front of the vehicle? Thank you in advance

this is just a guess based on what I think Toyota's favorite bolt size is:

M10

It is just a guess, but you can spend the 25 cents for one bolt and see if it is the right size.

Or you can buy one of these for $5 and cover all your bases

I bought a decal plate from this company: https://customlicenseplates.us, as I didn't want to put holes in the bumper.

Default License Plate Bracket for SC

The new License Plate Bracket from Lexus should have come with 2 self-starting screws. There are two small dimples on the bumper, I started each without the bracket using an electric impact, then backed them out and installed the bracket using those screws and a socket wrench. As far as the bolts that attach the plate to the new license plate bracket they are metric and you can match them at the hardware store by bringing in the bracket before you install it to test for the correct bolt size. I use stainless steel bolts (never rust) with a pinpoint dot of never seize on the threads.

Thanks for the help, I would have thought the new bracket would have arrived with 2 bolts but there were none. The Lex has two grommets on the front though. I wasn't sure if they were SAE or metric so I'll have to do some research. Thanks again.
