After working on this one PS mounting bolt for 3 hours I started to get delusional. I began to take it personal and started talking to the bolt and demanding it bend to my will. I started sounding like George Costanza saying "I will beat you, you will not win!" I get my second wind and start to imagine scenes from Lord of the Rings where the King gives a great speech about "some day man will fail but this is not that day!"
So with that in mind I bring my trouble to my new clan of fellow Lexus crazies and ask your thoughts....This is one of the two rear mounting bolts for PS pump is seized up. Despite being perfectly square with breaker bar and 14mm 6 point impact socket - no joy. Then again, perfectly square and after literally hammering the impact socket on, I used ½ inch impact wrench with extension and it rounded off the bolt edges and never came loose. Monday, after I get my sanity back, I am going to use heat and Irwin bolt extractors ... any thoughts?
ALSO - how do I find a new bolt to replace old one once I get this off? Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.
Treat it with penetrating oil now, if you haven't already done that. That will give it some time to get down into the threads and loosen it up. Of course, if the nut is cross threaded or galled, you're screwed... (You may have to cut it off if that is the case.)

I wish penetrating oil would work. The bolt is upside down so oil can’t go up. Gonna heat it up and use Irwin extractor
I spent several hours wrestling with an exhaust flange bolt this weekend. I tried penetrating oil, heat (then rounded off the bolt), and drilling. I eventually ground off the nut. Not sure if that's an option with the power steering pump. Bring a good bolt with you to the hardware store to find the right replacement.
I understand your quest. I had a starter bolt on my 48 Chrysler take hours to get out due to limited access. I could only turn it 1/16 of an inch with each stroke of an open end wrench. Once out, I discovered the oilf filter lines wouldn’t allow the nose of the starter to clear the bell-housing.
SCREW YOU BOLT - I win!!! 6 hours of effort - turns out the Irwin bolt extractors has an expansion set and I needed the 13mm. Got them at NAPA and finally it came loose with torch and lots of cheater bar on my breaker bar. Crazy!!!
I wonder if a previous owner put something like red locktite on there.
I wondered same thing but I checked after getting it out. It had no signs of anything or residue. I think its called 309K miles and speeding most of its life in Georgia.
Wow, 6 hours! Now that's dedication and me thinking that 30 to 45 minutes (might of been 2 hours) of struggle with a single ball joint was a lot. Congrats!
