Default Noise undersneath?

Own a 06, 74K mi, and have always had metalic poping and banging - mostly when I first start it and drive up to the corner to turn and step on the brakes. Also when I run over rough road? Can't find loose parts when up in the air? Do these cars just naturally sound like they have noisy front ends?

It is normal to hear popping when you first out…
The brake pads could rattling due to worn out or missing brake pad seating clips in the calipers.

but, you could also have suspension issues, ball joints, front upper strut mount could be worn out.

no, it is not normal to have a noisy front end.

See if this link matches up with what you are describing.

You can use this video by my favorite internet mechanic to determine where the noise is coming from if it is suspension related.

good video. I especially liked the guys attitude that skipped over some of the repairs he could have recommended but didnt because it wasnt really needed at this time. I have had mechanics that would have recommended replacing any thing that didnt look brand new just so they could generate income for the shop. Often people with little experience with mechanics will just be scared to say no.

Yeah I really like him because he covers everything step by step in his videos. He also covers things that could go wrong. It also seems like he has a plan before he starts the work, so it isn't just a "HEY, LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS" video. I have been watching his videos for like 3 or 4 years and I still have no idea what he looks like.
