Default Radio Installation

Since my car got the second Airbag recall done, I had/have a rattle from the radio. I finally checked this after unfortunately many months. Turns out that a technician tried to tighten the right top screw attaching the frame of the radio to the car so much that is sheered off. I tried to drill out the rest of the screw, but that didn't work. I wish I had taken a picture to show but car is reassembled. The noise hasn't stopped as the radio is only attached with 3 screws now. Do you have any suggestion how to get the screw out?

Thanks

If the screw fragment is solidly engaged and non-removable, you may be better off simply staying with 3 screws and putting a piece of silicone fusion tape under the free mounting tab as a anti-rattle pad. It's not a major structural mounting point.

Depending on the size of the screw, you could try a left handed drill bit. Be sure to get as close to the center of the screw as possible when drilling. If the drill bit doesn't remove it, then use the hole to insert an easy out. Just be careful with the easy out, while they are hard, they will break off if forced too much or incorrectly. Then the easy out is too hard to drill out.
