Navigation Disk Player
Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions, I had a map disk in the navigation player when the car was on I could see it spinning but it wouldn’t read and the screen would say “unable too read data check too see if disk is correct” when I would hit the eject button the disk would not come out, I was finally able too get the disk out and when I go too put the new disk in the player it doesn’t want too take it in at first I could only get the disk too go about halfway in and then after messing with it I could get it too go in further enough too where the door would shut but i didn’t want too push it too far too where I could not get it out again does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? And yes the car was on when I was doing all of this . Thanks in advance .
First of all, welcome to the forum.
So first question, you are dealing with the unit in the trunk, correct? If not, the unit in the trunk is where the NAV player resides.
If so, you might need to take it out and clean it out. (Remove the top and blow out the dust.) Then check for obstructions or limited movement.

Rickie,
You might have to replace the unit. But first, do like Harold said. Remove the unit from the trunk, remove the top and see if anything obstruct the disk. If you have a 12v power supply and know where to hook up, you can try to insert and reject the disk. Clean the reading lenses with alcohol but be cautious not to knock it out of alignment. Mount the unit back and see if you have solved the problem. Good luck.
