Great to find this forum!

My first question....my key will not open the trunk! I already checked the lockout on the glove box.... not the issue. I failed to check this upon purchase.

Any help is appreciated.

BTW. Where do I post my profile?

Welcome to the forum. There's a stickie at the top of the forum page to post your introduction, along with photos.

Does the trunk release button work? (It is next to the fuel door release button, which is next to the driver's left knee.)

If the key works to remotely open your doors, then it could be one of the following:
  • It is possible the button is going bad (or has dirty contacts that need to be cleaned).
  • Are you holding the button down long enough (3 or 4 seconds)?
  • It is also the battery is low and since the trunk button requires a longer press, it could be that drops the voltage low enough to quit working.
If the key doesn't remotely unlock the door, then the battery probably needs to be replaced.

If the battery replaced and you still can not remotely open doors or trunk, your key need to be programmed to the ECU. Read the thread “Master Key 101” recently posted.
