Default Replacement engine years applications

Hi, wife’s 2010 SC430 (68k miles) cracked radiator. Unfortunately in the hot Fl. Sun with AC on she didn’t catch it in time until car shutdown. Sounds like wrist pins and lower engine noise now so I’m thinking with Aluminum block high heat issues with head bolts etc. Better to look for used motor.
my question is: What year motors for the SC will fit the 2010 and can be swapped. If anyone can point me in right direction It would
ne greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sorry to hear the bad news. I don’t think there is any change in engine from 2006-2010. I hope I’m right. So you can hunt for the any used engine in that period. Good lucks.

Toyota made a lot of these engines that are used in many different cars. I doubt you have to find one out of a SC430.

you may want to check on lextreme, its slow to get a response but there's a lot of info there on 1uz & 3uz engines. I think Gmac is right, though, I don't think there's any engine difference between 06-10.

I found a JDM SC430 engine in Orlando, but the ad says it is for a 2002-2005. There was a transmission change in 2006, which might account for the reason 2010 isn't listed.

A JDM engine is the way to go (in my opinion) These are engines that came out of cars in Japan and were shipped to the USA. Japan has a law saying cars can't have too many miles or something so they have to recycle their cars over there (or so I have heard)

Sorry about the problems you are dealing with. Be sure to have it checked out first before you take the replacement plunge. There's a small chance that it survived but I suspect that you are correct in the assumption that it is toast.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
