Black 02
Looking for the pebble beach 06 now
When I'm finished fixing them I'll sell 2 or 3
The 2003 that you called "Pink", was it repainted pink or is that the original color that you called pink? It was hard to tell from the picture, as it kind of looked like the maroon color that I believe showed up after 2005 (I think). (I forget what the official Lexus name was for that color.)

It was custom painted by a lady in vegas
The interior is custom too, black and pink
Hey GMan, I doubt 4 out of 5 of his SC's have bad battery lights. I think he is talking the VSC light because he uses his Snap On scanner.
I was talking regarding his first post: “So my 5th lexus sc430
2002 13k miles
Battery light is on
Good battery I took off the negative and positive cable and car still on... I understand if the alternator is bad would car would die... Any suggestions?”
He asked about his battery light.
No worries my friend. I actually saw the Pink Sc today. It is very distinctive, but they did a great job on it and it actually looks really good. I don't think I'd drive it, but I don't think I'd ride a motorcycle either, so to each their own.

This has me wondering.....
I wonder if the voltage regulator on the alternator is bad. This would account for the light being on, but the car still running. Maybe your alternator is providing too much voltage due to a bad voltage regulator. The good news (or bad news) is the solution is the same, replace the alternator.
I am also wondering if maybe you have a bad ground. Maybe someone painted over a grounding point and you are not getting good contact. Or a wire was damaged somehow. Take a look at this post and you can find all the grounding points on the car I like the second PDF better than the first, since I am a more visual person

It’s true for the older vehicle like 1970....Now a day, cars equipped with modern computers so disconnect your battery terminals doesn’t mean your alternator is good. I’m not say it's dead yet, however, it’s on the way. I had this happened to my other vehicles couple times in the past. Once was a painful experience. Despite the warning of my mechanic, I continued driving the car to the job interview and you guessed it, the stupid car died on the freeway. Lesson learned.
