Default Revise dead battery

Has anyone tried this product:

https://brisklydeal.com/products/veh...ger-maintainer

they claimed it can revive dead battery. If this is true, good news for our SC.

sorry for the title misspelled.

If the maintainer is used consistently, battery life will be maintained and usually life is extended. If the battery has gone through deep discharge for a long time, it "may" have lost some of its original service life (~5 years minimum.)

Mandy, they claimed that it can revive “dead battery” of all kinds, except lithium. Many of reviewers also confirmed.

Oh, I got it. By saying “dead” they meant “discharged”, not “bad” or “gone” batteries. Darn.

I think you might be right GMan about it reviving a dead battery. There are two reasons car batteries go bad. One is if a cell goes bad. The other is due to a buildup of a coating that covers the lead plates. As the coating builds, the battery has a harder time holding a charge. The pulse charging is suppose to break up the coating and revive a dead battery or not cause anymore plating "growth" while it is charging your battery.

Here is a youtube video

Daryl is right. Once the plates start sulfating, the battery goes downhill as it blocks the chemical reaction that creates the electrical current. The pulsing action of the charge helps to break loose the coated plates and allows it to revive. This type of charging is also better than the typical charger that just keeps a constant power level on the battery and it heats up and allows the sulfation to occur.

However, having said all of that, I'm not familiar with this particular product.

Congrats on your new purchase. You really need to ask your question in the ES section of this website. Since our systems are so different, I wouldn't trust any information we gave you.
