My climate control and mpg computer are not working right. I can decrease the temperature but not increase it. I can increase the fan but not decrease it. The mpg is not working. I can change the modes. I had take in out to attach a Grom bluetooth unit for the radio. The wiring harness looks fine; no pins look out of place. Is the climate control computer toast. Is it an issue with the wiring harness. I know from looking at one of the youtube videos, they used some ribbon wires inside of it. Has anyone experienced this? I have seen were the screen can be replaced. Does anyone fix the buttons? I know I can get a used one from salvage for about $200, but I wanted to see if anyone had ideas.

 

Did they stop working at the same time? Did either of them stop working immediately after you installed your GROM unit?

Have you removed the GROM unit to see if it resolves your issue and is possibly defective?

 

The grom unit does not interface with the AC control unit. Only the stereo. It sounds like when you were removing or installing this unit the wiring harness was either damaged or not seated correctly. Never pull on the wires themselves when removing a harness. It can be a real pain in the *** but you need to release the locking clips and push back the harness at the plastic connection. Small flatheads and trim kit tools work well.
