It came out looking great. It could have been way worse. I have seen hail in Nebraska baseball size and larger. I have seen 8-12 row planters left in the field totally destroyed by hail.

Thanks Coleroad, I'll have to check it out.

Wow, that's a bummer BGW. I got caught in a hailstorm on my way home from work last year and got 2 or 3 dents from ping pong sized hail. I felt fortunate to only get out with that and not a broken windshield.

Did you trade in your Trans Am? I didn't see it in your garage.

It also really adds extra gloss. But do what fits your needs and wants .
thanks Cole, I always appreciate you’re knowledgable information. You have always kept me on the right track...thank you and keep sharing!

....good work, I too have some hail damage that I need to get looked at. I've been neglecting the old girl for the last 6 months or so (because of everyday life), but it's about time , I should start spoiling her & myself again...lol

hail damage falls under the comprehensive coverage and does not count against you. It’s also very inexpensive compared to collision ins.
you probably knew that but just thought I would share.
BTW, my insurance was close to totaling the car, but came in under the total amount, then the dent removal guy sent in two supplemental claims and that made the claim substantial...my out of pocket was very minimal...$250 deductible plus a little more.

Hi Bgw70,

Do you know what kind of work was done on your car? Did they remove the panel, sanded, then painted, or just only dent-removal work? I assumed the damaged were on all the flat surfaces like hood, top, trunk ...

I'm trying to get a sense of how much it cost to get the exterior to be tip top condition like yours. Thanks.

here are some pics when the dent removal guy was dealing with my insurance company.
the two pilars were repainted, when he was removing the dents a small piece of paint lifted.
I also had the front and rear bumpers repainted. They were banged up from years of wear and tear along with abuse from the lady who owned the car.

After dent removal, she went back to the other shop for body work, paint and detailing. She is a purdy girl again.
