Default TPS for 2002 lexus sc430

I found out that on this model, 2002 sc430 tps are color coded and must be programmed by a lexus or toyota computer. The sensors themselves are from $120+ to $78 (on ebay, also sold by a Lexus dealer). Also programming each sensor costs additional $100+ due to the labor costs. Is there ANY other way to use cheaper aftermarket or toyota tps or as I saw the wifi TPS, that could be linked to the Android phone or possibly to the newer audio unit? Any advice or ideas are welcome. Thank you. Also if I get a different tps, is there any way to disable the on dash warning light? Besides a black tape over it?

Well, if you wanted to stick with the original system, you could by all 4 sensors for the lowest price possible ( around $280 ) and get TIS TechStream for around $30. Any tire shop can replace the valve stem / sensor assys and you could program them yourself.
The batteries should last close to 10 years so you should be all set for a while. That's the route I went.

There is a way to disconnect a couple of connectors on the TPMS controller in the center console under the radio to disable the system and instrument cluster light. From there you could purchase an aftermarket system you like and install that. There have been a few posts of others going this route.

It's possible to unplug the system. I did when the battery in one corner died. The sensor was not very useful anyway, as it doesn't show the readings (it does report it, but you need to plug in the computer to see them).

Check out Amazon. I would just disable the system and use something like this.

Favoto Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Solar Power Universal Wireless with 4 External Sensors Real-time Display 4 Tires' Pressure & Temperature 22-87 PSI [2 More Battery] Pressure Gauge Auto

I have these from Amazon and the plug fits perfect in the cigarette plug below the radio.

I have never used a forum before and I am unable to find the posts you refer to discussing how to disable the TPMS system. Can you direct me to those or tell me how to disable the TPMS on a 2002 SC430?
